Synopsis
1943. The American High Command notice a drop in the morale of the young people drafted in as well as on the home front due in particular to the heavy losses affecting bomber crews. They respond by calling on John Derek, an Airforce propaganda officer, who comes up with the following idea: to select among the young American recruits a crew reflecting the diversity of the United States, and shoot a movie about them in order to give a positive and heroic image of air combat.
Based on a very original writing approach mixing a script of fiction and magnificent archives, Patrick Jeudy’s film takes us along a fascinating historical adventure.
